We have updated our graphical user interface with a smoother look and feel and included some interactive tools to help build input list for input files and scripts to launch jobs in series. Users of the Geometry View program will welcome our new Aperture Range tool for determining the Ray Tracer input shot range for a specified migration output area.
Required UpgradePlease note that with changes to our GUI, users are required to upgrade to Java 1.6 and the link to download this version is here. If you are unable to use this version of Java, as is the case with some operating systems, you will not be able to take advantage of the newest features in the GUI. Customers in these particular situations we be supplied a Java 1.4 compatible GUI.These are just a few of the highlights of Version 5.5, and we encourage you to review our release notes for a complete listing of new features and fixes. Release notes were mailed electronically to current customers on August 1, 2009. If you did not recieve or can not locate a complete set of release notes, please request another copy. We value the input and feedback of our customers to the process of improvement with each release. For the future, we are looking forward to releasing our reverse time pre-stack depth migration and a fast Beam migration for velocity model updating. The .tar files needed to install this suite are located on our the ftp site. You can log in at any time with your username and password. I don't have my username or passsword. |
We are pleased to announce the release of Tsunami Version 5.5. This version of the suite introduces our Auto Picker module and the velocity converter as part of tomography. The most interesting changes in this release are the enhancements to the 3D Tomography module and memory handling on new 64-bit multi-core clusters. Tomography was fortified with quality control features such as the ability to output a Pick QC file in SEG-Y format. This does no tomography, but simply estimates the change in velocity from the picks. This is a useful feature for examining the consistency of picks, or scanning for bad picks prior to running the tomography.
A new feature was added to our Pre-Stack Time Migration (PSTM) module to allow a user to re-use the same offset weights that were applied to a previous migration to a new migration. This will reduce variations in amplitude across multiple merged surveys.
