New Technical Advisor Dr. Scott MacKay
Scott MacKay was head of research for WesternGeco in Denver for many years and has since been working as an independent consultant worldwide for depth imaging. Scott has a real passion for depth imaging and is looking to promote that because he believes it will help find more reserves. He advocates an incremental approach to depth imaging to make it more cost effective and take less time.
He brings us the perspective of the interpreter so we can better understand the products and deliverables they want to see. We have been working informally with Scott for six plus months, and now we are formalizing things. He will be a technical advisor to help us with depth imaging tools in general and tomography in particular. Independently he offers a training class on depth imaging, and consulting services for depth imaging projects, where he tries to make sure that the processor and the interpreter communicate better.
